Liesing is the 23rd district of Vienna, offering a high level of leisure and recreational value. The castles in Liesing, which have survived from the manorial period, include Liesing Castle and Alterlaa Castle. In addition to the large recreational area of the Wienerwald in the west of the district, there are several parks in Liesing.
