22. District

Donaustadt, the 22nd district, is a residential district and popular recreation area. On the long, narrow Danube island, families cavort at the picnic areas and many cyclists enjoy the scenery. The Old Danube attracts swimmers and sailors in spring and summer. The area Lobau is criss-crossed by numerous hiking trails.
