The central 1st district, or the inner city as it’s called is Vienna's old town and extends around the long Ringstraße. The Gothic St. Stephen's Cathedral offers from its tower a magnificent view of the Stephansplatz and the city. On the pedestrian zones Kärntner Straße and the Graben you will find numerous luxury shops and cafes. The surrounding streets are lined with art galleries and restaurants.
